Combining Animation with System Architecting

As an architect-developer of software-intensive systems (including desktop and web applications) I'm developing animated sketches of interactions and system designs which are then published and made available to stakeholders for review. The animated storyboards help to communicate the architecture and designs to the system developers, and are useful for sketching user experiences cheaply and quickly.

I create animated architectural descriptions (as per the IEEE and ISO software architectural standards) using ActionScript 3.0 (also trying ToonBoom Storyboard Pro), combining Visual Architecting (www.bredemeyer.com), Graphical Facilitation (www.grove.com) and Animation. This approach applies equally well to non-software-intensive systems too (as indeed do the IEEE/ISO standards).
